Take the express train to Paddington, just as fast and a lot cheaper…

Only very very rich people use Taxis to go travel from Heathrow airport into the city of London.

There are a number of public service options which are much cheaper – there are overland trains which are fast and frequent which are cheaper than taxis but only take you to St. Pancras station.

but best of all is to use the London Underground which connects to all terminals at Heathrow and to all parts of London – trains run every few minutes and the cost is very reasonable – please give consideration to using the Underground.

Taxi drivers have to pay Airport fees to pick up there, so you pay extra; approximately £55. Better to get the train, or Underground.

Into central london the cost of getting a taxi or minicab can be upwards of £40.
You can get the heathrow express which will get you into Paddington station in just 15 minutes for £18 one way or £32 return.
The tube will cost approx £4 to get into central london and will take roughly 50 mins.

    Enjoy your trip to london!

A taxi from Heathrow to central London costs from £80-£100 depending on the volume of traffic,
and congestion is common. Best to take the Heathrow Express train from Heathrow to Paddington Station. It runs every 15 minutes and the journey takes 15 minutes. You can then pick up a taxi at Paddington Station or take the Underground (Subway) to your final destination
